Research Resources

（一）Eligibility Criteria:

• Full-time employees seeking external expert consultation for the purpose of “applying for extramural/external research grants.
• Qualifications of External Experts:
  －Scholars from national research institutions (e.g., Academia Sinica, National Health Research Institutes [NHRI]).
  －Faculty members at or above the assistant professor level from universities and colleges.
  －Other experts with recognized influence in specific academic fields.

（二）Subsidy Methods & Guidelines:

• -Every single meeting is limited to a NT$2,500 attendance fee subsidy for one external expert.
• -Each research project can apply for up to two consultation meeting subsidies.
• -In principle, each applicant is limited to a maximum of two subsidized research projects (four consultation meetings total) per calendar year.
• -Different research projects can invite the same external expert, provided that the consultation topics are distinct and clearly differentiated by each project’s theme.
• Priority for Approval:
  -Project Type: Government-funded grants (e.g., National Science and Technology Council [NSTC], National Health Research Institutes [NHRI]).
  -Research Team: Cross-institutional and interdisciplinary collaborative projects.
  -Principal Investigator (PI): First-time grant applicants.
  -Deadlines: Applications with approaching grant submission deadlines.

（三）Application Process:
Applicant submits the electronic “Expert Consultation Subsidy Application Form” → Department of Medical Research reviews eligibility → Applicant conducts consultation with the external expert (in-person or video conference) → Applicant submits reimbursement request (including payment requisition form, consultation log, attendance sheet, and receipt voucher) → Department of Medical Research conducts preliminary review → Deep Cultivation Program Office (Project Management Unit) reviews and approves → Accounting Office grants final approval → The hospital transfers the payment directly to the consulting expert.
